Clinical Program Team Lead-EOP Salary: $51,614 annually

JOB PURPOSESupervises program staff inclusive of clinical support and guidance. Ensures the timely completion of documentation and compliance with applicable standards and rules. Assesses and directs work flow in the unit. Develops and implements unit policies and procedures. Assists in teaching and directing case management personnel as needed.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  LPHA - Master's degree in Social, Behavioral, or Human Services with State of Texas Licensure as LPC (or may be LPC-A if authorized by HHSC), LCSW, LMFT, PhD, plus two (2) years of work experience which may include supervising/directing multiple staff members, preparing budgets, and establishing strategic goals and objectives.

DEGREE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED (IF APPLICABLE):  LPC/LMSW/LMFT or may be LPC-A if authorized by HHSC

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Good spelling and grammar skills.
  • Ability to write progress notes according to standards, assessments, brief mental status exams, memos, letters, various complex reports and miscellaneous other documents with acceptable spelling and grammar.
  • Computer - skilled in the use of technology with Microsoft Office and all Google applications.
  • Ability to input data into computer, make calculations, complete paperwork, produce reports.
  • Familiarity with community mental health and other resources
  • Ability to build rapport with individuals including coworkers.
  • Demonstrate skill in utilizing appropriate professional tools and interventions.
  • Interacts with diverse cultural, ethnic, and economic backgrounds and municipal organizations and agencies.
  • Acquires and uses new skills as the job requires.
  • Ability to work with considerable latitude and exercise discretion and independent judgment. This would include skills in problem solving.
  • Ability to complete all job requirements in a timely manner.

OTHER REQUIREMENTS OR CONDITIONS (specify):

  • May be required to interact with other consumers, referral sources, outside agencies, and family members to determine needs and actions to be taken.
  • Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state.
  • Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business.  Must be insurable by Center's liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
  • Must complete all training requirements in month in which they are due.
  • May be required to provide on-call duties. 
  • Availability of a personal vehicle for business use may be required.
  • Work will take place within office setting, community setting and within the homes of clients, which may include shelters and temporary housing.
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state
  • Must be physically able to conduct home visits to include walking on uneven surfaces, climbing stairs, and standing for long periods of time if required.

Essential Tasks & Standards

  1. Provides program oversight 
  2. Manages the activities of the team (3-8) program staff in accordance with Center operating guidelines
  3. Conducts investigations into violations of Center/Unit and other policies and procedures by assigned employees in accordance with Center guidelines.  Determines appropriate disciplinary action, documents it and reviews same with assigned employee and Director of Program. Reports all compliance issues to the Chief Compliance Officer.
  4. Maintains program and consumer records in accordance with all applicable standards.
  5. Develops and recommends program guidelines, procedures, policies, rules, and regulations for review and approval by management and monitors compliance with policies and procedures.
  6. May provide Rehabilitative Services in Case Management to assigned consumers.
  7. Provides direct service delivery in order to facilitate planning, problem solving, and sharing knowledge, resources and training to other team members with no documented evidence. 
  8. Monitors staff documentation on a regular basis to assure accuracy and timeliness of data entry and ensures that progress notes are submitted within 48 hours with 95% program compliance and provides appropriate corrective counseling when problems are found.
