Human Resources Recruitment Specialist: Salary Range $32,976 - $36,034

JOB PURPOSEHandles the recruitment, screening, interviewing processes, background checks, termination/resignation processes, and overall position maintenance for the Human Resources Department.  Prepares and conducts pre-orientation for new employees. Serves as back up in employee time records administration, assists with payroll functions and recordkeeping. 

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Graduation from an accredited four-year college or university with one year of major coursework in human resources management, business or public administration, organizational development, or a related field is preferred.  Relevant experience and education may be substituted on a year by year basis.

One year experience in direct recruitment of personnel within all areas of an organization.

DEGREE AND/OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRED (IF APPLICABLE):  BA/BS/BBA (preferred)

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, & ABILITIES:

  • Possess exceptional skills in oral and written communication using a computer and human resource-related software application, word processing, spreadsheets and specific databases.
  • Ability to write memos, letters, various complex reports and miscellaneous other documents with acceptable spelling and grammar.
  • Ability to input data into computer, make calculations, complete paperwork, produce reports.
  • Computer - skilled in the use of technology with Microsoft Office and all Google applications.
  • Skilled in delivering professional customer service and detail oriented work.
  • Ability to handle multiple tasks and prioritize work to complete in a timely manner.
  • Ability to maintain organized processes

  • May be required to interact with supervisors, recruitment advertisers, applicants, temporary staffing agencies, governmental agencies, and general public to determine needs and actions to be taken.
  • Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state.
  • Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business.  Must be insurable by Center's liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
  • Must complete all training requirements in month in which they are due.
  • Availability of a personal vehicle for business use may be required.
  • Work will take place within office setting
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state
