Program Team Lead-CSS Salary Range: $43,186 - $47,191

JOB PURPOSE:  Provides direct supervision to 3-8 staff in the program. Participates in the development of unit policies and procedures ensuring compliance with all applicable standards. Responsible for monthly staff meetings and providing reports to support billable services. Complete chart audits once a month for your team and provide coaching as needed. Coordinates staff schedules, provides necessary training and supervision in order to ensure adequate coverage and quality of services. Monitors staff performance and prepares reports.  May be required to perform client services.  Supervises and evaluates the work of team members, completes a variety of reports, and participates in the overall management of the program. Work is performed in collaboration and conjunction with other program coordinators. May include community outreach.

EDUCATION AND EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:  A bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university with a major in social, behavioral or human services or is a registered nurse (social, behavioral, and human services are:  psychology; social work; medicine; nursing; rehabilitation; counseling; sociology; human development; physician's assistant; gerontology; education psychology; special education; early childhood intervention; or early childhood education). Must have a minimum of 3 years' experience in a community center setting required.

  • May be required to interact with other consumers, referral sources, outside agencies, and family members to determine needs and actions to be taken. 
  • Current State of Texas Driver License or if you live in another state, must be currently licensed in that state. 
  • Liability insurance required if employee will operate personal vehicle on Center property or for Center business.  Must be insurable by Center's liability carrier if employee operates a Center vehicle or drives personal car on Center business.
  • Must complete all training requirements in month in which they are due.
  • May be required to provide on-call duties. 
  • May be required to travel within the 4 county area
  • Availability of a personal vehicle for business use may be required. 
  • Work will take place within office setting, community setting, area schools, and correctional facilities and within the homes of clients, which may include shelters and temporary housing and may include exposure to disruptive people and communicable diseases.
  • Must submit to and pass a pre-employment drug test
  • Must successfully pass all background screens as required by the state
  • Work flexible hours including evenings, nights, weekends, and holidays as needed.

I.Essential Tasks & Standards

  1. Provides training/guidance to staff regarding accreditation requirements including performance contracts and Texas Administrative Codes relevant to the unit
  2. Maintains records in accordance with all applicable standards
  3. Establishes relationships and communicates with clients, caseworkers, family members, and other staff
  4. Assists with developing and implementing policies and procedures 
  5. Attends and conducts staff meetings and/or training as assigned
  6. Participates in audits of assigned unit
  7. Stays knowledgeable of standards pertaining to services delivered
  8. Work in collaboration with staff for all program needs and requirements

III.Supervision & Leadership Behaviors 

  1. Onboarding of employees to include submission of the position requisition, conducting interviews and completing the hiring process following Human Resource guidelines. 
  2. Conducts performance evaluations of assigned staff.  Performance evaluations are on time and give employees fair and meaningful feedback.
  3. Schedules assigned staff to participate in mandatory training in order to ensure staff competence and development.  Staff required trainings are up to date and staff are given opportunities for professional development.
  4. Monitors performance of department and assigned staff using established reporting processes and provides feedback and coaching to ensure staff meet all contract, productivity and other performance targets.
  5. Manages schedules attendance and punctuality of assigned staff.  Staff time is reported on time and accurately and staff are able to make use of earned leave.
